The Give Guide
Give!Guide is Willamette Week’s annual effort to raise funds for — and draw attention to — the good works of local nonprofits. G!G has raised more than $64 million for hundreds of local nonprofits since its inception in 2004.
Quest Center has participated in the Give!Guide in both 2023 and 2024. In preparation for the two-month long fundraising campaign, I developed a communications plan to effectively engage new donors. This included creating compelling messaging, and coordinating multi-channel outreach efforts (such as social media, and email marketing), and managing relationships with business and nonprofit partners to maximize visibility and donor engagement. Each year, we have surpassed our fundraising goal.
2024 Give!Guide Campaign: The Woodstock Recovery House
We celebrated the Kickoff of 2024’s Give!Guide with a significant expansion in Quest Center’s Transitional Housing program: the opening of The Woodstock Recovery House. This new initiative represented a crucial step forward in Quest’s focus to provide safe, intimate, and affordable housing specifically tailored to support Black and African American individuals in their journey to recovery. The 2024 Give!Guide campaign welcomed contributions to go towards renovations and trauma-informed furnishings for the house.
Client Testimonial
I felt it was important to highlight the voice of a program participant who has found success in Quest Center’s services. I had the pleasure of working with Sirquinn to create a blog post and email campaign to tell his story of finding success and sobriety through Quest Center’s programming and housing assistance.

A primary goal of the Give!Guide is to encourage participating nonprofits to form lasting partnerships with local businesses and other participating nonprofits. I collaborated with Quest Center’s Development Officer to plan donor incentives from our business partners, plan events highlighting our Give!Guide campaign, and I led the charge to develop and implement cross-communications plans with partnering organizations and businesses. Our 2024 partnerships included:
Ever AFter Alcohol Free, Kickstand Comedy, Oaks Amusement Park, Basic Rights Oregon, Fora Health Treatment & Recovery, Burncycle, MHAAO, & White Bird.

2023 Give!Guide Campaign: Accessibility
The 2023 Give!Guide campaign focused on fundraising to improve Quest Center’s physical and digital accessibility. We successfully surpassed our $10,000 goal and were able to implement a new widget to our website called AccessiBe in efforts to create a more inclusive and accessible website for our participants. AccessiBe allows users to select different viewing modes and settings.

In partnership with 4D Recovery, and MHAAO, Quest Center presented a clothing swap & pizza party event to kickoff the Give!Guide. Held at Works Real Estate, SHWOP partnered to donate clothing for the swap, Papa Johns provided free pizza, and Best Day Brewing provided NA beer.
